Escape the everyday and escape to the Wilder Side of Ohio. . . Hocking Hills Camping Home of one of Ohio's last remaining wilderness areas, the Hocking Hills is renowned for its unparalleled wealth of hiking trails. Over 25 miles of trails meander through Hocking Hills State Park alone. Hundreds more are dotted throughout surrounding parks and wilderness areas. Hikers come from around the world to walk the paths beneath the hemlock canopies, gaze at the waterfalls and admire the unique rock formations. But it is the ability to see countless stars in the night sky that keeps campers coming to the region year after year.

The Hocking Hills Region is located along the Appalachian
hillsides of southeastern Ohio. It is a unique region- rich in history and
dense with one of the few remaining wilderness areas left in the United
States. What was once a thriving, tamed industrial region of iron ore has
now turned back to its wilder side, a region filled with thick forests, huge
rock formations and mysterious sandstone recess caves. Those who look
closely can find the remains of the past and discover places less traveled
by others in the Hocking Hills.
